Spring is here.Its time to paint.See you in the gardens.

Daffodowndilly

By A.A. Milne

She wore her sun-bonnet,

She wore her greenest gown;

She turned to the south wind

And curtsied up and down.

She turned to the sunlight

And shook her yellow head,

And whispered toher neighbor:

'Winter is dead'.

Christmas Spirit Parade

This was my first performance art piece. All you plein air painters try this, paint a painting while in a parade. I was painting the Christmas tree that was on the float and what was behind the float while moving, waving to people, and throwing candy to the kids along the parade route. Toni Leavitt was beside me doing the same thing , she is an abstract painter. I don't know why I look so calm. This goes in the category of extreme plein air painting.Glen Plake has nothing on me. Melinda Penkava took the picture from towndock.com

Picture taken by George Hunter

Painting the light before I loose it. I got the shadows in the water but the light was changing fast.

Southlake

This is the last place the plein air painters painted for this season. It was so full of the fall color.

We were all freezing, the North wind was whipping through the trees. I stayed to finish the painting. John Hanley was there too working on his painting till the last.
